UCFK Alumni Reunion

Calling all former campers! Uni Camp for Kids is wrapping up its 85th year celebrations with an alumni event and fundraiser at the famous UWA Tavern. Buy a ticket and come along to have a drink, have a dance and catch up with your old mates from picnics and camps from long ago (before there were camera phones). Get your old crew together – former committee members, camp leaders and picnic partners! Tickets $30 to cover event costs – drinks over the bar.

UCFK Tin Rattle

Location: Perth CBD

Each year, we are fortunate enough to receive permission from The City of Perth to host a street appeal from sunrise to sunset in the CBD. You’ll see our most dedicated volunteers out and about all kitted up in their bright UCFK shirts, shaking tins and spreading the word of what we do until their voices grow hoarse. It’s always so wonderful to see and hear the community support in our lovely city, and to see the friendly faces of several of our hard-working corporate alumni dropping by in their lunchbreaks! These impressive efforts are essential for raising those few extra dollars for our January summer camps to ensure each and every child has the most phenomenal experience with us.

Retro Rave

Location: The Avenue

Although a relatively new addition to the UCFK calendar, this end-of-semester bash has quickly cemented itself as a crowd-favourite. The four editions of the event – held annually at The Avenue in Claremont – have seen all attendees dressed in some of the best fashion trends over the past few decades as they dance the night away to the funky beats coming from a range of previous decades. The event has proved time and time again to be a wonderful sociable evening for our volunteer base and their friends alike – and thus an excellent means to increase public awareness of our charity within the university sphere – all whilst raising crucial funds that enable us to carry out our work with Perth’s most disadvantaged kids.
